Q. I’ve placed an order online. When will it ship?
A. The Jeske Company prides itself on its ability to ship most orders the same-day they are placed. Orders placed before noon for in-stock items usually ship the same day they are placed. For more detailed shipping information, please call our customer service staff at 1-800-677-3383.
Q. Some items are only pictured in one finish. How can I know what the other available finishes look like?
A. Check out the finish charts. Keep in mind that colors can vary slightly due to your computer’s settings and may not match the actual product exactly.
Q. I’d like to access my account online. How can I do this?
A. Contact your Jeske salesman and provide him with the necessary information to set up an online account.
Q. How do I know if I need a right-hand or a left-hand lever?
A. Door handing is determined from the outside of the door and depends on the hinges. If the hinges are on the right, the door is right-handed, and vice versa. In-swing or out-swing doesn’t matter; it is always the hinge side.
Q. Can you key a lock order?
A. Yes, keying is available for a small charge per cylinder. Please note any keying instructions in the order comments section of your order.
Q. There’s an error on my order. What should I do?
A. Contact your Jeske salesman or call one of our customer service representatives at 1-800-677-3383. Shipping errors must be reported within five days from receipt of order.
Q. What do RCAL and SCAL mean?
A. RCAL stands for “round corner adjustable latch,” and SCAL stands for “square corner adjustable latch.” This refers to the plate in the edge of the door around the latch bolt. You must specify either round corner or square corner latch when ordering Kwikset handlesets or deadbolts.
Q. What kind of latch bolts do the locksets come with?
A. All Kwikset and Weiser locksets come with a six-way adjustable latch bolt. Schlage passage and privacy locks come with a “dual option” latch, which means the latch bolt works for round-corner and drive-in applications. Schlage entry locks and handlesets come with "triple option" latches which are equivalent to six-way adjustable latch bolts. All of the backsets are adjustable from 2-3/8” to 2-3/4.”
